Resurrection (REZ) Anglican Fellowship is a part of an international movement of missionaries sent to the United States! For centuries the US has been sending missionaries overseas, but now the movement, the tide if you will, has changed. Christianity in Africa and Asia is booming at an astonishing rate, while here in America we consider whether "In God We Trust" is true anymore; whether we are indeed still "One Nation Under God." Religion in America has gotten Americanized, stripped of its power to change life radically for the good, to give meaning and purpose and direction.
Resurrection is a part of a Missionary Movement overseen by Bishops from Africa and Asia, who consider America a mission-field! And so we are! The unchurched population in America, if it were a country of its own, would be the fifth largest in the world! 130+ Million Unreached People - just beyond our doorsteps!! Mission, outreach and evangelism are the central features of the life of this mission to America.
You can join this mission to America.
If reaching out to people with the love of Jesus Christ and the good news of His love to all interests you, then this is the place for you! We are a missionary movement that is rooted in the history of the church but is as relevant as today's paper. We take our cues from Scripture as God's Word to us, and expect God to continue to speak to us through it today! We use sign and symbol, art and color and music to communicate the joy and wonder of a New Life, of New Hope, and of the promise of Eternal Life.
We are learners together about Jesus Christ, about how God takes an active role in our lives - in their smallest details - and about how to live our lives dynamically and successfully in God's eyes. We invite you on this journey - we slip and fall alot - we're not perfect, but we are letting God work His ways in us... together.
Won't you come along? |

An Unconventional Priest !
Father Phil Eberhart is not your typical priest. If you expect a stuffy, gruff, or boring "holier than thou" approach to church, you've come to the wrong place. Here you will find humor and down-to-earth honesty; here you will find a smile and a hug; here you will find the biggest 12-string guitar on the planet and an equally sized voice. A former youth and worship leader for many years, Fr. Phil brings a freshness and vitality to REZ's worship which makes you catch your breath. Lots of laughter and jokes, some tears that flow, a good measure of prayer and always a loving word from Holy Scripture. Fr. Phil isn't a beat-you-over-the-head kind of preacher, but you will get a healthy dose of reflection on the meaning of life. And along with that reflection comes encouragement to make a difference in the places where God has you planted - home, family, friends, work, neighbors.
Fr. Phil is fanatical about the Kingdom of God and the fact that REZ is not the only part in the Body of Christ. He is active in leadership of prayer and pastor/church relationships throughout the whole Church in Denver's metro region. As a result the vision at REZ is turned outward, toward other churches and toward the city. We are looking for ways to serve both the Church in Denver and the City of Denver in real, practical ways which communicate God's Love.

As we enter the new year our first liturgical season is Epiphany. Taken from the word that means the "shedding of light", we celebrate the revelation of Jesus Christ to the whole world.
Beginning on the 17th we will be studying the Fruit of the Spirit after our coffee time, beginning at 11:15. This will be a four-week study ending on Feb 14th, the last Sunday of Epiphany. That Sunday will also be a Missions Emphasis Sunday, with a special presentation on World Missions, prayers and giving opportunities. Watch for more info on that special Sunday.
Jan 24th we will join with thousands of churches nationwide in the observance of Sanctity of Life Sunday, and in our support of a vital local pregnancy resource, Alternatives Pregnancy Centers. Once again this year we will fill "baby bottles" with our offerings and bring them back to present to Alternatives on Feb 7th.
We welcome you to be a part of our fellowship of faith. We love to see new faces, so come along and see what God is doing.
Fr. Phil+ |
